it did for me even though i eventually walked out on my terms and fully convinced of the apostasy of the watchtower pharisees and sanhedrin (governing body).. initially it was very confusing and bewildering since i was a 3rd generation born-in and the watchtower was the only "reality" i'd known for more than 40 years.. a psychologist diagnosed ptsd (post traumatic stress disorder) and recommended attending a cult conference and workshop for victims of psychological manipulation.

i learnt about "triggers" that cause turmoil and upset whilst one is suffering from ptsd.. for nearly 2 years i could not answer a phone without a minor panic attack.

i could only respond to voicemails.

wonders for the average JW (probably going to be a JW dropout but I still love Jehovah and Jesus and teach the Bible. Just don't like men and women

who think they are better than us, or judge us as wicked for not obeying men.)

BTW, I ran into two regular pioneers who were staring at my goatee, it was ackward for them, not for me.

It sounds like a interesting event, I visited his site today, "Elihu Books", am I wrong to conclude he is starting his own religion or does he allow others to praise Jehovah and Jesus Christ, even if they don't accept his views? He is very smart.

when i am with any group of people today, except seminary students, i know far more stories and obscure ones, too.

after i left, i went on a tour of the cathedral in ny.

The latest generation of kids (18-26) don't impress me with their knowledge. It saddened me to learn, field service is key (Bible knowledge and love of the flock) are not what stand out. Some Elders are sadly lacking in knowledge of God's refreshing word! TV is killing Bible Study and Magazine reading nights, sacrifice TV, or the Xbox, they say "NOT!" Why study when you can drink a six pack and a few shots of vodka?

Blondie, is this a situation, only felt in the United States, or does this hit even the close knitt cultures? Attending meetings, it took a few months

before a JW elder broke away from 'busy work', to welcome a newbie. The warm and loving friendships and elders, is more like "Charlie the Unicorn's adventure". Idon't think there is anyone at this site, who has not felt the cold calloused, glares of the unapproachable holy elders. It's ok to invite

them, but few have time to allow their busy wives to display hospitality, or reach out to new ones. It's another great concept in the print, but you can expect , you will hear from a elder, when he is cold calling your house, with his new Amway book. There are good men, but a bunch are still stinkers!

Another side point, it all goes back to "field circus productivity, being visible," yet, most field circus falls into those with idle hands. There is a term "Contra freeloading", it's a socio-economic term, developed when rats and monkeys preferred to work for their food, than receive a handout. The interpretation, people are willing to accept their field service hours, without working for them. Apostates, Ex-JWs are labeled "Sluggish Slave" for their hatred of field service (what we hear at meetings), how can those who mock Jehovah with useless, heartless service, accuse others of being sluggish? I don't get it!

What issues could have been reconciled with Brother Frantz and Brother Dunlap, if the W.T.S. was willing to adjust their viewpoint? I am not familiar

with their grievances, would they have been for the better, made the brotherhood stronger? If the Apostle Paul and Barnabas were the direction

used by the Holy Spirit in Acts 15, it screams, there are brothers who are empowered with Holy Spirit, to bring change when needed!
